HOW GREAT THOU ART.
O Lord my God,
when I in
Awesome Wonder
Consider all the Worlds
Thy hands have made...
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
The power throughout
the universe displayed.
Then sing my soul
my savior God to thee...
HOW GREAT THOU ART!
HOW GREAT THOU ART!
This is dedicated to
Carey who when I
was a child showed
me almost the only
loving attention I knew.
She never gave up
trying to teach me
piano and I tried
real hard since I
wanted her homemade
cookies after practice. ;-)
This song was the one
she tried to teach me
to play forever,
never stuck, but
she'd belt (and,
yes, I mean BELT)
it out endlessly. ;-)
I thank God for her
in my life.
Ellie
Great post. There was another kind of BELT in your life, too, if I remember correctly. God bless Carey and you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThis takes me back to when I was a little girl and my family attended a Billy Graham Crusade here and George Beverley Shea sang How Great Thou Art. I can hear him now.
ReplyDeleteBless that wonderful person for putting that song into your life, even if ou never learned to play it.
ReplyDeleteMy mother's favorite hymn! I sang it for my grandmother's funeral.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...may He bless you both.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful~!!
